Arrangements for GCSE results day on Thursday, 20 August

Dear Parent/Carer,

RE: Year 11 Results Day
I am writing to confirm the arrangements for the collection of this summer’s GCSE exam results. Students will be able to collect their statement of results on Thursday 20th August 2020 any time between 10:00am and 1:00pm.
We anticipate a lovely morning filled with celebration, however if students would like to discuss their results with teachers, they will need to book an appointment with a member of the Senior Leadership Team. In previous years, our career advisor is on site to also assist students but due to the recent pandemic, the council have advised that they work remotely. Parents and guardians are welcome to accompany their child on the day but given the current climate, we must limit the number to only two attendees per household (including your child).
It is a shame the way the year panned out but we would still like to send off our students in the spirit of joy and celebration!  We are inviting all year 11 students to BBQ which will start at 5:30pm which gives students enough time to enrol at Sixth Form/College after collecting their results. Students are encouraged to bring in a white shirt for everyone to sign. Students will also be given a copy of the Class of 2020 Yearbook and the opportunity to purchase a Heron Hall Academy hoodie. The dress code for the evening is flexible.

Additional information:

Students and parents should report to the main gate and walk round to the dance studio.

To keep everyone safe, 15 students will be allowed in at each time. There will be seating arrangements outside to manage capacity.
