World Book Day at Heron Hall Academy

On Thursday 4th March, we are celebrating one of our favourite days of the year, World Book Day.

We are planning our biggest ever celebration of the day with a whole series of events across the school.

On the day there will be a number of activities for our students to participate in as well as some great competitions to enter.

One activity we will be having on World Book Day is a whole school vote-off to see what our student’s favourite books are.

We will also be holding a competition where students compete for prizes for the best book reviews and we will be having a special talk from Katherine Weekes and children’s author Virginia Euwer Wolff. Katherine has adapted books for film and tv, including 'Bridgerton' and 'Dracula'.
