Year 9 students to participate in creative writing initiative

Fourteen Year 9 students have been given an amazing opportunity to partake in a renowned creative writing programme.

“First Story” is England’s leading creative writing charity for young people. Their “Young Writers Programme” aims to give young people the skills and confidence to tell their stories well and to thrive in life and education.

In this programme our year 9 students will get the chance to work with a professional author to produce their own publication of short stories.

They are going to be working with former UK poetry slam champion, Adam Kammerling.

Adam is an acclaimed poet who has performed at some of the biggest stages like Glastonbury, Helsinki Word Festival, and the Southbank centre.

This is an amazing experience for the students and we will be sharing pictures of it soon.
