Heron students take part in acclaimed creative writing workshop

Fourteen year 9 students have been participating in one of England’s most renowned creative writing workshops.

As part of the “Young Writers Programme”, our fortunate year 9 students have been working with former UK poetry slam champion, Adam Kammerling.

Adam Kammerling is an acclaimed poet who performed at some of the biggest stages like Glastonbury, Helsinki Word Festival, and the Southbank centre.

In the workshop, students have been working on a collection of short stories, poetry, and creative writing pieces that will be published over the summer into Heron Hall’s very own anthology.

It’s been an amazing experience for the students to learn from a former UK poetry champion. The workshops have really been beneficial to their writing skills.
