Defibrillator Donated to Heron!

Heron Hall Academy were the latest academy to receive their donated defibrillator from the London Ambulance service.

All academies will have a defibrillator on site which have been accredited by the London Ambulance Service which enables the community to also have access in an emergency. There will be training for staff and information will be shared with parents.

We are working together with the cardiac charity SADS UK (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome) and the London Ambulance Service to build awareness about sudden adult death. Sudden arrhythmic death syndrome, or SADS, is when someone dies suddenly following a cardiac arrest and no obvious cause can be found. This affects around 500 people in the UK every year.

We are really proud to be able to work with SADS and the London Ambulance Service to provide this facility and provide safety for all in our community.
