Police response to increasing school security at Heron Hall

We have been working with local MP Kate Osamor to try and increase school security.

The police have responded to our inquiry with a plan of action. Please see their response below.

“I am writing in regards to your letter in relation to Heron Hall Academy, with concerns from the Head teachers around robberies. The Safer Schools sergeants have implemented a robbery plan for when pupils return to school and there will be an increase in officers on patrols. The BCU is also creating a North Area Tasking Team who will be conducting robbery patrols and will be increasing visibility, which I hope will provide reassurance to the head teachers. The Schools sergeant will be contacting the head teachers to make them aware of the robbery plans that will be implemented”. Mags Lillywhite A/Inspector – North Area Neighbourhood Policing

Thank you to the police for creating this plan for when pupils return to school.
